Several new bills were introduced recently in Alabama that pertain to boating. Here’s HB489:
Bill Title: Watercraft, operation of boating under the influence, penalties for violation further provided, Sec. 32-5A-191.3a
HB489 would provide that if a person is convicted of boating under the influence, the person’s boating license ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ’๐ ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ will be suspended, and that if a person is convicted of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, the person’s driver’s license and boating license or boater safety certification will be suspended.
SYNOPSIS: Under existing law, if a person is convicted of boating under the influence, the persons boating license is suspended, and if a person is convicted of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, the person’s driver’s license is suspended.
